With modern communication technology, staying connected with people is as easy as pushing a button on the cell phone, through social media websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. Connecting with friends or relatives locally or around the world is just as easy using apps such as Whatsapp or Facetime. Irrespective of what device you use, communication technology is as good as its connection and the power supply.
Connecting to God, your heavenly Father will provide unlimited source of power. We can’t imagine without phone or the internet for a day. Yet we don’t miss connecting to God for whatever reason.
When you stay connected to God all the power of heaven is given to you. Staying connected to God allows you to know God’s will for your next step of God’s plan for you. To live victoriously we need to connect to God and stay connected to reap the unlimited power supply.
3 Ways To Connect With God And Stay Connected For Unlimited Power Supply
1. Connect To God By Accepting God’s Gift Of Salvation
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life, John 3:16
2. Stay Connected To God by Stopping All Compromises
Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show Myself to them, John 14:21.
You don’t have to be shy of your relationship with God and His love for you. Refuse to allow the things of this world, ungodly relationships and sinful pursuits gnaw away your life with God.
3. Stay Connected To God Through Daily Bible Reading
How do we get the power supply from God? Just as we either bring along a charging gadget with us for our cell phones, laptops and any mobile device that we use, we need to carry God’s power supply through the word of God, the Bible.
His promise is “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, Ephesians 3:20.
4. Stay Connected to God by Praying
Would your Mum or Dad like it when you talk to them indirectly through a friend? Not at all.
God our heavenly Father has given us permission to talk to Him directly. It’s time to talk directly to God instead of relying on someone else to tell you what God wants for your life.
Matthew 21:22 tells us that “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” So, what is stopping you from talking directly with your heavenly Father every day. Tell Him what is on your mind. Tell Him your concerns. Ask for what you need and even what you want. Pray for the needs of others.
Think about it. How wonderful it is to incorporate these easy steps to be in harmony with God daily and all the time for that power supply from God.
When you stay connected with God, that kind of power of knowing first hand what He wants you to do and have your prayers answered every time according to His will is truly amazing.
